Financial Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidates will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis as well as prepare research reports on various sectors of the Nigerian Economy. These candidates will also study and understand the macroeconomic environment of Kenya, Ghana and Rwanda. In addition, the candidates will conduct financial analysis on financial institutions and industrial corporates as well as carry out the following tasks:
- Information gathering and compiling data into actionable reports
- Conducting Industry study, writing industry reports and client specific research
- Studying the macroeconomic environment of Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda and Ghana
- Analysing and presenting the information gathered in Agusto & Co.’s standard format
- Rating banks or corporate entities
- Facilitating industry seminars and client training sessions
- Preparing pitch and presentation materials
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Good Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or related fields
- Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CFA)
- MBA or MSc and financial modelling skill will be an advantage
- 3 – 5 years of experience working in a reputable consulting/financial service firm
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills
Senior Consultant
Position in the Company
- Reports directly to the Head, Agusto Consulting
- The position is a Full-time role
The Ideal candidate is someone with proven experience as a business/management consultant or equivalent in a reputable local or foreign consulting practice. He/she is expected to have a versatile and entrepreneurial mindset, a great listener & strategist with the ability to communicate with people of diverse disciplines, nationalities and industries
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts research to understand how a company functions and where a company can improve
- Conducting research, surveys and interviews to gain an understanding of clients’ businesses
- Assess companies’ operations by assessing weaknesses and recommending business solutions.
- Analysing data and statistics to garner business intelligence
- Analyses gathered information to form a hypothesis of company weaknesses and how to fix them
- Interviews all necessary groups, such as employees, management, and shareholders to aid in consultancy
- Prepares recommendations on organisational improvement
- Runs strategy sessions and training for board members, management and employees on business and financial strategy
- Prepares reports, proposals, and presentations for clients’ meetings and pitches
- Stays current with the latest trends in the economy, industry and business and applies them to existing business models
- Plan, organize and manage business projects for clients
- Based on clients’ requirement, work on projects
- Communicate with and meet with clients when needed
- Perform initial assessments for each client before the project begins
- Travels to different job locations as required
- Soliciting new clients.
- Lead team to execute Consulting assignments
- Evaluates competitors to pinpoint advantages or disadvantages in the current market
- Attends regular meetings to re-evaluate new business model and adjusts as necessary
- Analyses financial statements including cash flow, net profit, expenditures, and revenues to find weak spots and identify opportunities
- Discusses long-term goals of the business as these goals pertain to a new business model
- Works with members of own team to offer different ideas
- Clarifies strategic and operational problems and successes with management
- Developing and implementing new procedures or training
Requirement & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a business consultant or equivalent in a reputable local or foreign consulting practice
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience with some years at manager level.
- Experience in leading teams on consulting assignments

- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Analytical mind with excellent data collection and analysis skills
- A great listener with the ability to communicate with people of diverse disciplines, nationalities and industries
- BSc/BA in business administration, economics, accounting or relevant field;
- MBA/MSc/MA in a specialized business field will be an advantage. Professional financial certifications such as CFA, ICAN, ACCA will also give candidates a lead in this application process.
