Agusto & Co. hereby affirms the A-(IM) rating assigned to Afrinvest Asset Management Limited (“Afrinvest AML” or “the Manager”).
The rating expires on 31 December 2026.
Agusto & Co. affirms the ‘A-(IM)’ rating assigned to Afrinvest Asset Management Limited (‘Afrinvest AML’ or ‘the Manager’). The rating reflects Afrinvest AML’s experienced decision-making committees, good governance structure, adequate research capabilities and support from an established financial services group, as well as improvements in the performance of collective investment schemes. However, the rating is constrained by the limited automation of pre-trade checks, which predisposes the Manager’s portfolios to investment and operational risk. In addition, we believe Afrinvest AML will benefit from better segregation of duties in the control and audit functions.
