Agusto & Co. hereby assigns “Bbb-” (long-term) and “A3” (short-term) ratings to Lighthouse Capital Limited (“Lighthouse Capital”, “LCL”, or “the Company”). The ratings reflect Lighthouse Capital’s experienced management team, acceptable capitalisation metrics, and sizeable holdings of marketable and liquid assets. However, the ratings are constrained by LCL’s weak profitability relative to peers, concentration in funding, and the significant concentration in ultimate beneficial ownership. We have also considered the intense competition in the investment banking and securities trading segments of Nigeria’s financial services industry.

Lighthouse Capital is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as issuing house, corporate investment adviser and broker/dealer. The Company principally provides financial advisory services and securities brokerage in equities and fixed income instruments to retail clients, high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), and institutional investors.
