Agusto & Co. assigns a “Bbb-“ rating to Coronation Insurance Plc, with a stable outlook. 

The rating expires on 30 June 2025. 

Agusto & Co. assigns a ‘Bbb-’ rating to Coronation Insurance Plc (‘Coronation Insurance’ or ‘the Insurer’ or ‘the Company’), reflecting good capitalisation, bancassurance with Access Bank Plc, the largest bank in Nigeria and membership of the Coronation group with activities in almost all industries in the financial services sector. However, the Insurer’s weak profitability, concentrated investment portfolio and the prevailing macroeconomic headwinds constrained these positive rating factors.
