Agusto & Co. hereby assigns an A-(IM) rating to United Capital Asset Management Limited (‘UCAML’ or ‘the Manager’), with a stable outlook.
The rating assigned to the Manager is upheld by a good track record in the asset management industry with an operational track of over 20 years, well-composed decision-making committees, an established process for generating timely and good quality research output and the good adoption of technology in managing potential exposure to operational risk events.
The rating is however constrained by significant maturity gaps in the Manager’s portfolio, frequent changes in the risk management personnel and the weak macroeconomic environment which has the potential to dampen investment performance and heighten business risk.
